Fun ideas to do with kids during this Thanksgiving

This year Thanksgiving is gonna be all the more different. With more time in hand at home, kids very much deserve to be kept busy and entertained. These are some interesting ideas that fitted our bucket list of to-do’s for Thanksgiving and will surely do yours.

Make a jar of gratitude

There is no better way to make our li’l ones reflect on their blessings through this cute craft. It can be simply done with a Mason jar or any other glass jar and barely few craft items at home. Once the jar is ready, each member of the family gets to write things he is thankful for on paper slips and keep it in the jar. At the end, one person reads the slips, and everyone is required to guess who wrote it.

Make scratch paper art

If you want some mess free art for kids, this is a must try. Plus, its unique method from the regular coloring stuff, adds an angle of interest for kids. The reveal of beautiful colors from scratching is such a delight to watch. We got our bunch of scratch papers for holidays and it was a quite a hit.

Play scavenger hunt

Scavenger hunt is an all time favorite of our household for any occasion. I find it a quite refreshing and interesting way to treat kids. So this Thanksgiving calls for a special scavenger hunt. There is no doubt that anyone is not going to like it.

Bake Chewy Pumpkin Cookies

Baking can add a whole new flavor to festivities. There is no better time to try these yummy pumpkin cookies with your little ones and celebrate the spirit of fall.

Do pinecone craft

Pinecones can be found in abundance during fall. It makes a great idea to go pinecone picking and finally making some interesting craft with the kiddos. I did this pinecone craft with my son in earlier season and it was such a thing! Cutting these was a little hard part, however coloring and decorating it was much fun. Don’t forget to wear safety gloves or else it’s gonna leave your hands hell lot sticky.

Do pretend play on Thanksgiving books

This is a great time to do some pretend plays on interesting Thanksgiving books for children. This helps them know about the traditions and history of Thanksgiving better. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TzUS7UHXsd8 is one such interesting read.
